Modernity | WORDPRESS THEME | VERSION 1.2

The following resources were used to design Modernity. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge. Structure of theme files derived from the Modern v0.9 theme by ULF Pettersson.

A wider Modern theme for WordPress

I’m well satisfied with Ulf Petterson’s excellent WordPress theme, Modern, but for one thing: at 419px, the main content column is just too narrow. Things just won’t fit: 500px-wide, medium-size photos from Flickr; quoted code snippets (unless you prune their line-lengths).

I’ve found a delightful blog post. I’m thrilled with the content and want to learn more about what else is on the blog and who is blogging this prize example brilliant wit and wisdom. Unfortunately, they don’t have much of a sidebar with links to recent or related posts, nor to their About Page or other bio or contact information clearly in evidence. Widgetizing Themes

This page contains technical instructions on updating a theme for use with widgets. Many themes can be updated in five to ten minutes. Others will take an hour or two to get all of the kinks worked out. Some will look awful no matter what you do. This document assumes basic PHP editing skills, though you probably won’t have to write any code of your own.

A super modern wordpress theme based on Modern v0.9.
